Birthday Wishes!!!

Happy Birthday Grandma!!! Birthday wishes for my brother Robin for yesterday too!! Hope your days are filled with peace, love and happiness today and always!

A bit about my weekend which just passed :) Friday night I went to a Party Lite party at a friends house. I met a few new mom's, and it was a great evening out! Saturday Alix came over to babysit, and Rene and I went to Edson to finish some paperwork for her SIN card which I've been putting off for well over 6 months now. We also checked out the RV place there, and found a few travel trailers that we think would be great for us. I really can't wait to camp this year, it will be a first for our little family, and hearing how excited my husband is to go camping, has me thrilled!!! On Sunday I left for Fox Creek with a good friend of mine. She was driving an hr there to do a Stampin' Up! Demonstration, and I asked if I could tag along :) It's been awhile since I've actually gone to one. Unfortunately her mother passed away last week. I always enjoy talking with her...we both agree that we must come from the same place in our previous lives. You know how sometimes you meet someone and you just 'click'? I just adore her, she is so sweet. Funny thing is, she is old enough to be my mother....yet I don't feel the age gap. Anyways, because I was going to Fox Creek, I asked a friend of mine through stampin up and scrappershaven to ask if her sister wouldn't mine me doing a quick mini photo shoot before the demo was to begin. She has a 17month old daughter, and a 4month old son. They were so sweet, and adorable! It was so much fun :) Challenging, with trying to find the correct settings for exposure on my camera, while attempting to get the attn of the little girl. It was great practice, and i do believe I was able to capture some wonderful shots in the short amount of time I had there. It was a great end to a fun weekend. The kids are doing good right now, neither of them are sick, thank Goodness! Jaden is loving playschool, and has so much to say everytime I pick him up. Today the Dentist came to talk to them about "sugar bugs" Jaden was well prepared to tell his dad that he couldn't drink anymore pop! ;) Now i can't let you read all of that without sharing one picture can I? For some reason I feel ripped off if I read a blog that usally posts pictures, and on one day doesn't. This is an older one of Avery from last month.... just practicing with making borders and making the eyes stand out more. Have a good day!!

Yikes, her skin tone looks really pale in this one!?

Don't forget to watch American Idol tonight :)

Here's from today, I can't believe she'll be 3 in MAY!!

I shot this in auto which isn't something I usually do anymore, and got this nasty shadow....but I do love her smile, and what she has in her hands, is something that she is often holding, her lipgloss and baby!! lol

Just Chatter....No Pictures

After watching the Oscars tonight, and listening to all the touching speeches (*loved* Kate Hudson's speech, wow!) I really just wanted to write down a few things that I am blessed to have in *my* life. I feel like the idea has been sitting in me all week, after talking with various different people going through different events in their lives, I decided that it was time to think about and write down some things that I am very thankful for. No pictures today, but I will be taking a LOT this week....so stay tuned ;)

So in point form, here are some things I am so very thankful for this week! :) I encourage anyone reading this to do the same. If you have a blog, write it out!! If you have a neighbor who did something kind for you recently, send them a thank you card. Time to show some appreciation :)

* I am so blessed to have my man. He has been with me for so many years, and loves me for who I am. What more could I ask for? He has given me 2 beautiful children, and he takes care of us, and loves us tons.

* I have to thank God for my kids!!!!! I've wanted them for as long as I can remember! I was 15 and just wanted to have kids so badly, now I do :) They teach me so much, and I love seeing my family and Rene's family in them, and how unique they really are. So different, and I love them very much. There's nothing sweeter then hearing them say that they love me.

* My family. So much to be thankful for in this department. I love that I have a sister who lives near me, and a mother who doesn't mind talking to me on the phone almost every day. Sometimes 3x in one day! I have a *HUGE* extended family, and I love that my children know so many of their cousins, and aunts, uncles, and grandparents :)

* Where I live, is often taken for granted I'm sure. But hearing about the way women live in other parts of the world seems surreal, yet it *is* real! I am so blessed to have been born in Canada, and that's something I don't stop to say often enough. I should remember this when I'm having a bad day, that there are women out there, who are tortured, and abused....with their children watching, and how awful that must feel.

* I am very fortunate to have so many great friends around. There's the friend to call when I have "kid problems" the friend to call for Husband advice! The friend to share coffee with, a friend to shop with :) Online friends too...... there's something to be said about friendships! My best friend, Adrienne. I can't imagine not having her part of my life (SO ADRIENNE, YOU GOTTA MOVE CLOSER SOON!! hehheheheh)

.......okay I'm feeling rather moooshy now. But it is important to stop and thank God for what we have, and to thank those close to us for all that they give to us. I am thankful for my health, my children's health. I hope to have many more years with my parents, and siblings. So have a great Monday, and thank YOU for visiting my blog today!

Just one of Avery

Seriously, I love this picture.....it's just *SO* Avery! Not technically correct, but I captured something special to me here. I was on the computer in the early morning, bundled in sweats and a hoody, and thick socks, working away. I could hear Avery playing just behind me with her toys. I happened to turn around, and she was playing with her doll on the treadmill. She had taken off her clothes (i hope this is just a phase....today I found her naked, as she was putting on a bathing suit, to pretend to go swimming! lol) She was happy as could be, in just her little girl Dora panties. She just looked so young, having so much fun....she was freezing, but that didn't matter to her. She was happy, because life is great. My camera was right beside me :) I had to share this one.... might be a mom thing, I'm not sure. Maybe it's a "You have to be the Mommy" picture, but here it is :) I converted the original to B&W, with high contrast, and played around a bit more, I'm posting the original too! Have a good Friday!!! We are on our way to Edson today to look at the RV's, I'm so excited!!!

Is it spring yet???

..........it's coming, I have the feeeever starting, so does Rene! We've been shopping around online trying to find the perfect travel trailer for our family :) I can't wait for summer, and camping, and GRASS, BBQ.....mmmmmmm. The time is coming, already February 20th!!! Another month and my good friend Renee will be getting married, and a few weeks later, we'll be flying to the Dominican! I asked Jaden and Avery what Summer means to them...here are some of their answers. Jaden said: Shorts, soccer, walks to the park. Avery said: Sandals, shoes, shorts, bathing suits (omg.... lol) swimming, stroller rides. As you can see we are all ready for the change of seasons.

We spent the family day long weekend, with our families :) It was nice, and busy......trying to spend time with everyone in 3 days, but it worked out well. The kids totally enjoy spending time with their uncles and aunties, grandparents and cousins! We are so blessed to have so much family, and fortunate enough that a lot of them live close by! I took only a few pictures ;) and I'm still going through them, so I'll probably post those tomorrow. Time for bed for me!

I'm in a funk...

Just wanted to come and say hi! These pictures aren't anything special, but I can't help but share when I come here! I hate when I go to look at someone's blog, and they haven't updated, or they don't have pictures, So I am trying not to be one of those bloggers ;) You know who you are!! ;) just teasing! Not sure why.......but I really love this picture :)
Rene wanted me to take a picture of this quad, he wants one. HA HA HA
For the kids! He made Avery a princess hat, and Jaden a sword. He was really good....

Just hanging out....
Alix holding Avery in line waiting for her Princess Hat from the clown.

Ok, doesn't my husband look hot pushing a stroller?? lol....maybe it's me getting the 'itch' but wow, I looked over and saw him pushing Avery, and sighed..... he's still got it ;) Love you babe!

At the Woody's Rv area.......Jaden walking over to meet him, and he fell back!

We thought this little trailer was so cute! Can you imagine? We thought how cool it would be to pull this TOO, just for the kids! ha ha ha... as if. It had a bed, and counter with sink and stove top. Really cute though... there were so many people, hard not to get someone else in the picture... silly cowboy. See Jaden in the window?

Here are some scenery pictures. I love how the sky looks like the ocean in some of em!

Tomorrow is my last day at NAIT for that class I have been taking. I'm so happy I signed up (too bad I had the crappy roads to deal with though) I learned TONS, and made some good friends too. I plan to sign up again for the next class offered in September. Time to do some photo shoots, I've had a few pregnant mom's call and express some interest. Nothing is booked for sure yet, as they don't know when they'll have their babies...but I'm really excited to get some pictures of TINY ones! Thursday is my birthday, and Friday we are going to Plamondon for the weekend. Not sure if I'll make it back here until Sunday....and with that, some pictures!

Just playing..

Lot's of simple snapshots of the everyday stuff, and some fun portraits :)

Just trying things out in Photoshop.I tried a few times to get some Valentine type pictures these past few weeks, but I didn't really come up with anything great or unique. But here are a few that Rene thought I should share anyways...

Isn't Logan a cutie!!??

Just a quick snapshot of Avery & Heidi, they asked me to take it! Notice the Gap Sweaters? Avery saw Heidi's and knew she had the same one somewhere, can you believe that? I love Avery's half fake smile!

I thought this was pretty funny, Avery trying to stick a lipgloss into Logan's pocket!..... and here he is trying to get away!

I went to my Photography class last night, and it was awesome! Because Alix babysat, I was able to drive in early, to avoid driving in the dark, or snow that was in the forecast. Had so much fun just walking around Kingsway. I'm such a city girl at heart, seriously. We learned so much in the 3hrs, tons about lighting, different situations, and how to paint with light. With each class, my 'want' list for photography accessories just keeps getting longer, time to book some photo shoots! Here's one of my practice shots in the studio, using the painting with light technique :) **Ok, now i can't find it** so here is something we had a hard time getting right, but was a lot of fun. Here was our example!

I stayed the night at Lisa's (thx again chicky!!) and it was great to catch up. Exactly a year ago I had spend the night there too, so we talked about turning into a tradition! We chatted until nearly 3am! It was kinda nice to be away for the night, and not wake up to my kids yanking on my arm ;) ... thank you ALIX, LISA & RENE!!

AND, if you are still here.......... some pictures from Tuesday. I brought a container of snow into the house, and the kids thought it was pretty cool and fun. We made all kinds of funny men in the snow, so of course, here are some pictures!

TGIF :) Have a good weekend!!!
