Congratulations are in Order!

This special family welcomed a new baby girl last night! Little miss Jaya Joele made her first appearance weighing 8lbs 9oz. I am SOOOOO happy for my best friend and her family! I can't wait to hold and snuggle Baby Jaya, and take a few newborn pictures too! ;)

Doing the Happy Friday Dance....

We've had lots and lots and lots going on here lately..........too much, and today I can see on my calendar, that there are only 6 full days until Christmas! The hugely anticipated holiday of the year in our books. So much time has gone into shopping, preparing, wrapping, preparing, photo taking, editing, packaging, mailing...........and in the end I know that everything will end just as its supposed to. I know that the next few weeks will be fun and exciting and I am going to live each moment and event to the fullest. My home is feeling so comfy and warm with our tree decorated and lit, and the kids waking up this morning with the sound of excitement now that Christmas Holidays has officially begun for them. We are going to town this morning to get last minute items for Jaden's birthday party this afternoon, and for the next 2 weeks my calendar is wide open!!! Bring on the company, and visiting, playing board games, making hot chocolate, decorating cookies and just being together snuggling on the couch, talking about Santa and baby Jesus, reading our Christmas books, and watching ELF which has become a tradition at this time of year :) Nothing to do but enjoy the down time, enjoy my kids, enjoy the season. The magic has started... when my 2 older ones crawled into bed with me early this morning whispering then giggling, soooo excited to be home and counting down the days for Christmas. This morning I feel SO blessed. I have a husband who loves me for me, and whom I love bigger then the sky who gave me 3 beautiful, sweet and healthy kids. We live across the street from my parents who are there for us every single day, who love my kids to pieces. We are near the majority of our extended family, and we look forward to spending time with them during the holidays.

SOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.... bring on the next two weeks, bring on the music singing, dancing, jammie jamming, late nights and late mornings, candy cane licking, mistletoe kissing, full belly laughing, and all that the season brings! Enjoy the Holidays!!! I know we will :) :) :)

Avery was so awesome on this day.....she played with Cohen while i got some housework done....she is such a sweet older sister and very protective of her baby brother.

"Cohenator" should cut a tooth any day, see all that drool??

Something that makes me very happy is that I am able to stay home and raise my babies.... here's a couple shots of my little ones not yet in school. Avery is in preschool now, but only a few hours a week. I Love Em to pieces, and though life will be different when they are school age, I am fortunate to stay home, and get to REALLY know them as people. I love the little things that make each child unique! There's a little bit of "pressling" and a little bit of "ulliac" in all my kids.........

Thx to everyone who placed a last minute Christmas card order with me this week...........I ordered a total of 675 cards this week, not including my own which I still need to do. I wish I had tracked how many cards I ordered in total last year for Christmas, but I think this past week wins!

Yikes...time is running out. I hope to get some pictures this week of all three kids together, I was really holding out for some snow...to do funky colorful scarves and fun sweaters, but we hardly have any snow yet!! So I'll have to go with Plan B. I'll be away from my desk Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I am going to the city to get ALL my Christmas shopping done! Girls weekend................I can't wait to have four whole nights of sleep, with no babies or kids or husband to wake me up! :)

With 2008 around the corner, I am both happy and sad. I am nearly done all the '08 sessions. Crissy, your wedding proofs are well on their way and you will have your album in time to share with your friends and family at Christmas :) I am also sad that I won't be able to book any photo sessions for the next few months...and at the same time, I am very excited to decorate my house and play with the kids during the entire month of December.... and all winter! We will be sure to take plenty of pictures. I have many fun ideas to try with Cohen now that he is sitting up :) I will be updating my blog daily.

I will be purchasing a new camera this weekend, so my Canon xti will be for sale... I will give more info and pictures early next week

End of Season Sale!!

Hey everyone! Sorry I have been MIA lately.... I've been trying to prioritize all that is going on and happening around me. With the new baby I am spending extra time snuggling and cuddling... wishing he wouldn't grow quite so fast. Cohen is already six months old, and I'm trying to enjoy every stage as it happens. I have also been working on finishing up the final sessions of the year and getting orders put in before the Christmas deadline, as well as packaging orders up and delivering them. My blog happens to be toward the end of the priority list right now, but I promise it won't be that way for too much longer. I have also been spending more time at the school working on a side project. I will post more on that at a later date ;)

On a side note, some friends and I have been talking about getting together for weeks now and tonight it just happened. I enjoyed tonight, and it was nice to sit and visit over coffee and a few chips and guacomole! Good Times. I am so thankful for my friends...and we often talk about how blessed we are to have our families, and we truly are...but good friends deserve appreciation as well.... so thx to my friends who came over tonight, sat and drank coffe with me. They let me talk about photography (I'm sure they've seen enough photos for a long time!) vent about Telus, the County and U-Hall....... lol, and it was just plain awesome to be around you all again. We always say we need to get together more often, and we really do. We are all so different and bring something new and fresh to the conversation... so THANK YOU again for coming over and spending a Friday night with me. One of our many reasons for moving back home!

I love doing this!

So when this family boated me out to a special location on the lake, I ! It was so sunny out, and the wind was blowing in my hair. It was the perfect way for me to spend the afternoon.... Here's a few sneek peaks for the Reich Family :)

Miss these kids!

Angie and her kids came all the way from Whitecourt to Plamondon last week to visit us =) We were really missing their company, and the kids had so much fun playing together again. Here are a few pictures from our day at the lake! We look forward to visiting you and Whitecourt after Thanksgiving!

Beautiful Family, Beautiful Colors!

The Sehn Family..........and one year later! Boyd and Brandy's daughter was one of the first sessions I ever did (see pictures below), it was great to work with them again. Payton is right at that stage where she loves to pose for the camera, when the camera isn't looking...... bring the camera up and BAM, she runs away! lol..... it was fun, and I think we got some good ones Brandy ;) She's grown so much since last time, and Gage is the sweetest baby. I look forward to working with you guys next year!

I had so much fun spending the afternoon with Tenille and her family out at the lake. The fall colors were out in full force......and they were GORGEOUS! Her kids are adorable.... sharing one now so you can see the colors!

Taking A Break

Anybody who knows me, knows how much I love Photography, and how much I love sharing my passion with others. This week Jaden started kindergarten and there was a huge realization in my house. I can't squeeze anymore hours into a day. It's time that I face a reality that I've been hiding from for the last few months. I will not be booking any more sessions. I hope that in the new year we'll have adjusted to the many changes and I can open my doors for business once again. My family needs some time to adjust to our move, and adjust to a school routine, as well my baby is only 4months old. If I had to work, I would. But we are fortunate that we can live on Rene's income alone. Don't think you won't see my carrying my camera, because I am not letting that baby go.....but I won't be able to offer sessions until further notice. I appreciate all my past customers, and all the wonderful families that I get to work with this month. I will be fulfilling all booked sessions. Doing the HAPPY dance!

I'm so happy that after struggling with Telus for 3 hours on the phone last week (from my vehicle parked in the Extra Foods parking lot, with all my kids!)about how important it was for me to get a phone.......for personal and business reasons, I finally got hooked up today!!!! I have felt so out of the loop, and tired of playing email tag with customers for the last few weeks! Moved and getting settled in :)

It was all part of our five year plan, and amazingly enough... all our dreams came true when we found out a month ago that Rene could get a job in our home town. It's been a month of crazy busy, and unorganization, but also full of excitement and enjoyment as we made the transition from Whitecourt, AB to Plamondon, AB. The boxes are not all unpacked, but we are getting there! I am completing the last few details for my website, and am back to work. Because Telus is such a wonderful company (grrrrrrrrr) we will only have a land line phone at the end of September, unless I can somehow manage to convince them that I need one sooner ;) At that point, I will share the number here! Blushing Bride!

We are so happy to be able to officially call this beautiful lady, sister in law and Aunty! Although she has been part of the family for a few years now, the ring is now on her finger! :)

Nat and Dorien got married over the weekend and everything was perfect!

Because Cohen was so little, it wouldn't have been fair to commit to photographing their wedding and I really did enjoy being able to watch them get married with my own eyes and not through my camera lens :) OF COURSE I had to take a few however, and I love how this one turned out!
