YES, I will *DO* Weddings in 2008!

For some of you this is a HUGE announcement. I have been asked to photograph weddings, and for the longest time I was undecided on this. It means weekends away from my family, and that was a HUGE factor to take into consideration. On the other side... I want to be there to capture your special day! The emotion, texture of your dress, colorful flowers, stolen moments, special glances... the list can go on forever :) For small town Plamondon, I want to offer *more* goodies! DVD slideshows, storybooks, online images to share with your family and friends and so much more! I have created the 2008 Wedding Price Guide for Photography By Adrienne. If you or anyone you know is interested please contact me as soon as possible. I am due at the end of April with baby #3 and will only take 4 bookings for the summer of 2008. It will be a trial summer in a sense, to see if it works with my family or not. I will commit to 4 weddings after June 30th, 2008. Hope to hear from some of you soon!

Taking a Break

It's Wednesday... my full day to work!!! Kids are at the babysitters having a blast and Rene works every Wednesday.... it's a great day for me to get stuff done with my business :) Here are a few more from Abigail's session!

Oy!

Hang in there, please don't mind the mess I've made of my blog.... I hope to have it looking a little nicer soon! I don't like this header, but I think I have an idea on how to get it to 'work' now! I just need TIME :)

MUST KNOW {COLOR}

I did a maternity session last week, and when everything was done, we loaded the session onto her computer to look at. I was starting to worry that none of the pictures were properly exposed! I was beginning to freak out and worry that I didn't take ONE good picture, and that I would be doing a lot of work on them in Photoshop.... we then opened my blog and I quickly realized that it wasn't the pictures, it was actually her monitor, and colors on her screen. I was a bit surprised that she hired me, after seeing my work on her computer! lol.... so I thought I better bring it to everyone's attention that not all monitors will show things the same way. I know this too because last year I had a really old monitor, and after buying a new one... I went back to see some pictures I posted on the web to find they were all extremely overexposed. My monitor was dark so I was over compensating. A big mess anyway. SOOOO if things don't look 'right' on your computer, please take the time to check it out somewhere else and see if you can 'see' a difference! My prints that come back from the lab are really close to how they look on my monitor.... but if anyone has a concern, please do not hesitate to talk to me about it!! :)

Work, Work, Work....

It's so much fun going through pictures.... today I am working on proofs, as I have about 5 sessions to go through. Taking a little break to share this image of a family I had SO MUCH FUN working with. They are so sweet, and the children were so well behaved... we went to my favorite location too! Here's just one that made me smile.... there are so many good ones to come, but I just love how Mom is holding her son and all he wants to do is make a funny face..hehehhe I can't wait to share more!

Something New!

I've been wanting to learn how to do one of these storyboards for some time now. I was sick yesterday and again today and finally had some time to figure it out (in between proofing sessions!) Thank you Angela for letting me use your proofs to try this with! Sorry I spelled Blais's name wrong........I would have had to start over to get it right, so I applogize! This storyboard is a 10x20 collage with 4 portraits from your session and would be plaque mounted... no framing! I'm going to print one for my family next month and will post pics of it on my wall so you have a better idea! I think that these would be beautiful gifts at Christmas time! Thx for looking :)

{Angela's Family}

See how fun my sessions are?
These boys were dancing in their seats... too cute!

I want a fence like this to take pictures against!

Okay, so this last one is a bit different then what you are probably used to seeing. First of all..... I did crop the mom/dad's heads on purpose, this wasn't a mistake ;) And it isn't because I don't like them, or they aren't beautiful people! I love how the focus is on the kids and them holding hands... I love it. I think some of you will 'get' this one, or you just won't like it and that is OK! I also added a watercolor conversion just for fun :)

Back at it...

We are home!!! After spending 3 wonderful weeks in Plamondon and Lac La Biche, it is so nice to be home. I love my house, and Whitecourt is a nice place to live! Don't get me wrong, I love Plamondon too....after all that is where I have spent most of my life growing up, Rene too! Camping was great, the kids were for the majority of the holiday awesome, and thankfully nobody got sick. I did several photo sessions which was great, I met a few new people. I attended the weddings for Travis & Destiny, Rodney & Kathy and Tom and Allison. All of them beautiful and fun!

I need to say THANK YOU to everyone who made my holiday enjoyable...with Rene working every other week, I sure did get a lot of help with packing/camping/hauling/kid watching/meal making...and laundry (thx mom!!)! My oldest friend ever (since I was about 6) Tanya, came to spend the night at the cabin with her two little boys. It was the first time I saw her youngest son....and boy are they cute!! On a weekend that Rene came up, we camped at his Mom's acreage for 5 days with his family.... and the kids had *SO* much fun playing day/night with their cousins. It was so hot, and they all played so well together! We had a few play dates at the park... and made some new friends! (Found a few other ladies who share the same passion in photography: Terri and Allison!) I spent the long weekend camping in a campsite for the first time with the kids. Renee & Tony: Thank you so much again for pulling my camper, and helping me set up and take it all down when it was time to leave. These 2 just had their first baby Kacen.... who is a DOLL, and I had the chance to photograph him last week! They run Fish n Friends which is an excellent place to camp, and they run it so well :)

It was great spending time with family, playing cards with Grandma...who won every game of skip bo! Watching my kids hug and snuggle with my mom and dad... and watching Avery apply lotion on aunty Leonie's legs... then later learning it was funner to get the the lotion then to give it ;) I especially enjoyed the quiet moments with my kids..camping and at the park. We captured a lot of special moments and I will share some with you this week.

I better get back to work, I have several sessions to edit.... and want to share some sneak peaks later this evening. Hope everyone is enjoying the end of summer (yeah, i said it.) The cooler nights are a hint of what is to come.... I have so much going on behind the scenes of my photog. business, many new things to be announced soon! Leaving you with a moment I captured of my dad and Avery walking down the road at aunty Leonie's...
